Tara Armbruster
Tara leads our exceptional Contact Centre team. A seasoned banking and finance professional having worked within the industry for the past ten years; Tara has a great knowledge of all financial products and services.
With impressive experience from the telecommunications industry, through Optus and Vodafone, Tara brings great customer experience to the phone lines. Tara is passionate about delivering world-class customer service no matter what channel and fostering an environment where teamwork is celebrated, and customers feel known.
A Tweed local for the last 17 years, being involved in the community has been incredibly rewarding and something unique to her experience with SCCU. It’s the first time Tara has seen the impact of giving back to the locals firsthand. Tara and the Tweed Heads team are regularly involved with Banora Point primary school and Tweed United Soccer Club, an official community partner. They volunteer for events like The Colour Run, and get involved with campaigns to help drive awareness on meaningful topics including anti-bullying and mental health. They make it personal at SCCU Tweed and often give their time to help charities like Kids in Need (KIN), a purely volunteer and donation based charity that focuses on the needs of children with disability and serious illness.
Tara is passionate about health and fitness, a passion she shares with her husband and is perhaps a by-product of having active children! She starts most of her days at the crack of dawn at the gym physically but mentally fit. Tara’s compassion and influence has helped her team prioritise their health and wellbeing.
The team at our Contact Centre have a wonderful reputation with customers, getting daily feedback on how much their personal approach is appreciated. Tara describes them as ‘kind and considerate’ and welcoming, a true reflection of the SCCU values. She’s proud of the team, which includes a number of long serving employees and looks forward to illuminating the benefits of banking with Southern Cross Credit Union and further growing the community spirit in the Tweed and Gold Coast regions.
