Spreading Courage this Christmas

Bolstering our community and those in need is important to us.  That’s why we’re thrilled to sponsor The Quiet Courage Foundation. A charity transforming experiences by delivering hope and tangible support to cancer patients through carefully curated care boxes.

Founded by Janna, Nicky and Mel, who met during their own cancer journeys, The Quiet Courage Foundation was born from a shared desire to support others.

These inspiring women, each diagnosed with breast cancer in the 30s, formed a strong friendship while navigating the challenges of treatment and motherhood. Their care boxes reflect their personal experiences, filled with handpicked items that brought them comfort during some of their toughest moments. These care packages provide essential comfort during treatment, easing the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation to help patients recover more comfortably.

“It’s an incredible initiative that’s making a real difference in the lives of cancer patients. Mel and her team are doing fantastic work by delivering care boxes to patients across several hospitals, including the new Tweed Hospital.” – Stuart Edwards, CEO of SCCU

These Quiet Courage Care Boxes are more than just a collection of items – they are a heartfelt gesture of compassion and encouragement, reinforcing the quiet courage within patients. Personally delivered to oncology wards and hospitals, the boxes bring smiles and a sense of support to patients during their treatments.

To help spread their reach and impact, SCCU has proudly donated $3,000 enabling the creation and delivery of 50 more care boxes, just in time for Christmas. The contribution ensures that cancer patients will feel a little less alone this festive season, knowing their community cares for them.

You can join us in making a difference. Visit The Quiet Courage Foundation to learn how you can donate a care box and help bring some Quiet Courage to someone’s journey this Christmas.
