Our SCCU cards are changing for all of our customers!
Following recent changes to the Australian payment network, Eftpos will no longer be available on the SCCU Visa Debit Cards from 15 November 2021. We will be sending a new Visa card to all Customers in the coming weeks.
IMPORTANT: To ensure your new card arrives safely to you, please log onto Netbanking and update your current address ASAP. You can also call our team to update your address on 1300 360 744.
Why the Change?
VISA will now be our preferred single network partner due to its worldwide transaction capability and the added security and protection of an International Payment System. To reflect this single scheme, the back of your card no longer carries the eftpos logo. In effect these changes will have little impact.
What’s Changing?
When making purchases in store, you will now need to select “Credit” on the terminal, otherwise your transaction will decline. Online Transactions, via PayWave and at ATM’s will remain unchanged.
If you have pre-existing payments set up to come off your card, these should remain largely unaffected, but in some circumstances you may need to update the expiry date and the CVV with the merchant.
If you require cash out you can do this by visiting your local branch or at any ATM that displays the Visa logo whether in Australia or Internationally.
While you will no longer be able to receive Medicare refunds directly to your VISA Debit Card, they can still be refunded to your account. You just need to ensure that Medicare has our BSB (722-744) and your 9-digit account number.
