We currently have an exciting opportunity to join our recently established Contact Centre team. You will help drive and shape our new direction and be part of our exciting future.

Your previous experience in a financial institution contact centre, knowledge, energy and passion for delivering exceptional sales through service results and working as part of a team will drive you to achieve your KPI's, contributing to the success of the organisation.

Primary Responsibilities

This role is responsible for providing exceptional service and building strong relationships with SCCU customers to increase customer value and sales by the promotion of SCCU products and we strive to deliver a seamless service to all customers through a one call resolution.

  • Provide end to end experience for all customers, assisting with their banking and Insurance needs – service, maintenance and sales fulfilment;
  • Develop a deep understanding of our customers circumstances and financial needs, over the phone, in a friendly and timely manner;
  • Promote products and services whilst exploring customer needs;
  • Actively seek referrals for new business from existing customers;
  • Proactively keep in touch with customers and identify next best approach to deepen share of wallet and loyalty;
  • Ensure comprehensive usage of CRM Tool (P&R) to understand customer interactions, patterns and needs;
  • Ensure a high degree of confidentiality and security is maintained at all times;
  • Ensure all customer interaction is done so in accordance with SCCU acceptable customer service standards;
  • Promote customer growth by the execution of marketing strategies and campaigns and the provision of exceptional customer service;
  • Actively promote SCCU as a community member and leader in community banking;
  • Actively communicate with your team and manager to identify any areas for improvement;
  • Work together with your team to deliver an exceptional standard of service.

Skills / Attributes

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar role in a contact centre will be highly regarded.
  • Experience in a retail banking environment.
  • Ability to demonstrate experience and resilience in interacting with clients via the phone based in a sales and service business with the financial services industry.
  • Confident communicator with ability to build genuine rapport with customers.
  • Ability to demonstrate your flexibility and work as part of a team.
  • Display a high level of motivation and personal initiative.

Working across a number of branches, this role is responsible for providing exceptional service and building strong business relationships with SCCU customers to increase customer value and sales via the promotion of SCCU products, with a focus on delivering seamless service to all customers through an end to end experience.

  • Provide this end to end experience for all customers by assisting with banking needs - service, maintenance and sales fulfilment;
  • Provide well-informed advice to customers on all products and services in a personable and professional way;
  • Ensure the referral of lending products to customers by maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of all lending products;
  • Ensure efficient control of cash, with accuracy;
  • Promote customer growth by the execution of marketing strategies and campaigns and the provision of exceptional customer service;
  • Actively communicates with team to identify any areas for improvement or to discuss what is working well in generating increased sales and service;
  • Ensure a high degree of confidentiality and security is maintained at all times.
Skills / Attributes
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role in the retail banking industry or in a sales and retail environment.
  • Experienced in retail environment with proven results against targets.
  • Ability to demonstrate experience and resilience in interacting in a client facing sales and service business.
  • Confident communicator with ability to build genuine rapport with customers.
  • Display a high level of motivation and personal initiative.
